Q. What’s the difference between Closed Beta and Open Beta?
A. Now that we're in Open Beta, you will no longer need an Access Code in order to participate - Magic: The Gathering Arena is now available and free to download for everyone! With the Open Beta, we've also included some major updates to the game in addition to the improvements we made throughout the Closed Beta period. You can read about them, here.
Q. If I participated in the Closed Beta, can I use the same account for Open Beta?
A. Yes, you will be able to log in with the same email and password. Please note that as part of the move to Open Beta, we will be transitioning all current Closed Beta players to our new system, Wizards Account. You will be prompted to confirm some information the first time you log in, and as part of this you will also be able to update your username if you so desire.
As a reminder, we will be performing a wipe at the end of the Closed Beta:
Paid gems, bundles, and cards redeemed from the New Zealand code test will be awarded back to a player's account.
